New Eastbridge study looks at the small business voluntary market.
AVON,
CONNECTICUT, USA (December 12,
2007)
Small employers typically do not offer as rich of a benefits package as larger employers simply because they can not afford to offer as many employer-funded products. Still, these small employers realize that they need to offer attractive benefits in order to compete for quality employees. Voluntary products can be an important tool to help recruit and retain employees and, just as importantly, to add minimal costs to the company’s benefits program.
Eastbridge’s newest study, Voluntary Products and the Small Business Market, looks at carrier opportunities for selling voluntary benefits in the small employer market (defined as cases with at least 10 but fewer than 100 employees). Specifically, the report looks at:
- The size of the small business market
- Which products are sold in this market
- The characteristics small employers look for in a voluntary carrier
- Attitudes of employees in the small business market
- What is needed to successfully complete in this market
With this information, carriers can begin to discover ways to reach the small business market in a cost effective and efficient manner and capture this market’s growing opportunity.
The report is now available for purchase for $1,000. More information about the report, including the table of contents, is available on the Eastbridge website (www.eastbridge.com). To purchase the report, e-mail us at info@eastbridge.com or phone (860) 676-9633.
